For more than 60 years, SCHÖNER WOHNEN has been reporting on innovations in the field of living and furnishing. Our editors are experts, always in contact with designers, manufacturers and readers. With the BEST OF DESIGN-Award we want to bring excellent design closer to our readers, providing orientation and better information about design trends and new products.

In 2021, the first SCHÖNER WOHNEN DESIGN – Special was published with products recommended by the editorial team as well as the possibility to licence a seal for the award-winning products. Starting in 2022, manufacturers have been able to submit their products to be evaluated by the BEST OF DESIGN jury. Products that meet the jury’s high criteria are eligible and manufacturers are allowed to licence the BEST OF DESIGN-Award.

All award-winning furniture, luminaires and home accessories will be published either in the BEST OF DESIGN Special, which will appear each summer, or on schoener-wohnen-bod.com – including the names of the designers, the dimensions, the materials and also non-binding retail prices. Here you can find the Special edition from 2021 onwards.

With the BEST OF DESIGN-Award seal, companies have the opportunity to advertise their outstanding products across all communication channels and touchpoints – whether in catalogues, in print ads, at the POS or in web shops. The BEST OF DESIGN -Award seal of SCHÖNER WOHNEN, Europe’s largest home magazine, credibly illustrates the outstanding position of your products.
